40ml Scotch*
40ml Sloe gin
7ml lemon juice
1ds Absinthe
1ds Orange bitters
1⁄4tsp sugar

In a mixing glass, stir sugar and lemon juice to dissolve. Add remaining ingredients and shake over ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a brandied cherry.

*Use a good scotch. A single malt is a safe choice, and something with a hint of smoke works especially well
