Rum Week Hong Kong
Presented by Hong Kong Rum Fest, Hong Kong Rum Week will see rum personalities, rum lovers and rum events come together to educate the city on all things rum. All events are open to the public and free to attend (except the closing party), and events for the week include parties, pop ups and masterclasses – find the full list here.

Chris Moore (Coupette, London) at SKAI Bar (Singapore)
Chris Moore, owner of one of the World’s 50 Best Bars, will bring a taste of his London bar Coupette to Singapore’s bar with-a-view SKAI Bar. Prior to opening Coupette, Chris was the head bartender of The Savoy’s Beaufort Bar.
When: September 2, 7pm-midnight
Giorgio Bargiani and Maura Milia (Connaught Bar, London) at Manhattan (Singapore)
Connaught Bar, one of the World’s 50 Best Bars and famous for its Martinis, heads to one of Asia’s 50 Best for a guest shift and masterclass.
When: September 3. Masterclass 2-4pm, guest shift 7pm-late
Agung Prabowo and Roman Ghale (The Old Man and The Sea, Hong Kong) at Bar Mood (Taipei)
The Old Man and The Sea founders Agung and Roman will carry over some highlights of the best bar in Asia – The Old Man Hong Kong – and their latest opening – The Sea – to Taipei’s Bar Mood for one night only.
When: September 3, 8-11pm
Leon and Kaitlin Wilkes Back (The Artesian Bar and Blue Bar, London) at Ah Sam Cold Drink Stall (Singapore)
Ah Sam Cold Drink Stall will welcome bartending couple Leon and Kaitlin Wilkes Back from The Langham London’s Artesian Bar and The Berkeley Hotel London’s Blue Bar, respectively. Ah Sam is coining this the “Parallel Dimension” shift by hosting bartenders from two of London’s most prestigious and luxe bars at the simple, homely and self-proclaimed “ghetto” Singapore joint.
When: September 3, 8pm-midnight
Jay Khan (Coa, Hong Kong) at Vesper (Bangkok)
King of Agave Jay Khan heads to Vesper for a night to serve some of his signature cocktails, including the Ancho Highball (tequila blanco, Ancho Reyes chilli liqueur, clarified guava soda) and his infamous clarified Coconut Milk Punch (aged rum, mezcal joven, fino sherry, arabica coffee, coconut cream, tamarind, pineapple, salt).
When: September 4, 8pm-midnight.
Deepak Soni (Moon Bar, Bangkok) at O Pedro (Mumbai)
Deepak Soni from of Banyan Tree’s Moon Bar in Bangkok will be taking over Mumbai’s all day Goan inspired bar and restaurant O Pedro for a night of Asian inspired Tiki cocktails.
When: September 4, 8pm-midnight
Christine Lam (Employees Only Sydney) and Jiawei Bai (Employees Only Singapore) at Quinary (Hong Kong)
Christine Lam, currently the head bartender at Employees Only Sydney, returns back to her old bartending ground of Quinary, joined by Jiawei Bai of Employees Only Singapore. Jiawei was EOSG’s youngest principal bartender and head bartender in 2018, and is now currently the bar manager. Catch the duo serving up EO signatures for two nights.

Keith Motsi and Dew Choi (Charles H, Seoul) at Bar Trigona (Kuala Lumpur)
The Charles H team swap the Four Seasons Seoul for the Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur, where they’ll be serving up some Charles H Baker inspired cocktails using Hendrick’s, Monkey Shoulder and Glenfiddich.

Satoshi Sugiura (The Odd Couple, Shanghai) at Sidebar (Taipei)
Four Pillars Australian [Gin] open winner Satoshi Sugiura of The Odd Couple in Shanghai heads to Taipei’s gin haven Sidebar.
When: September 8, 9pm-midnight
Alexx Mouzouris (Don Q Rum global ambassador) at The Other Roof (Singapore)
Alexx heads from Hong Kong’s Rum Week to Singapore to spread some rum love with a masterclass and shift at The Other Roof.
When: September 10. Masterclass 2pm to 4pm, guest shift 7-11pm
Denise Khan Tan (Bacardi) and Bobby Carey (Proof & Company) at Neon Pigeon
This “Fight Club” sees Denise Khan Tan from Bacardi go up against Bobby Carey from Proof & Company in an epic battle of cocktail making.

Micaela Piccolo (APAC Director of Spirits at Nimbility) at Three X Co (Kuala Lumpur)
Join Micaela Piccolo of Nimbility for one night only at Bangsar’s Three X Co.
When: September 12, 9pm- 1am
Andy Griffiths (Idlewild, Singapore) at Vesper (Bangkok)
Andy Griffiths, head of operations and creative of Idlewild, will head to Bangkok’s Vesper to showcase four drinks that will include one inspired by his last destination, two from Idlewild’s menu and a cocktail with strong Bangkok influence, using local produce.
When: September 12. 8pm to 12midnight
Adam Bursik (Origin, Singapore) at Bucaneers and The Curator (Manila)
Adam heads to Manila for two shifts at newly opened Bucaneers and stalwart The Curator. At Bucaneers he’ll serve Brugal rum creations such as the Origin Swizzle with Brugal anejo, spice pineapple, cane sugar honey, lemon and black lime bitters, while at The Curator, Naked Grouse cocktails include Baked Naked: Naked Grouse, baked pineapple cordial, spices and vitamin C.
When: Bucaneers: September 13, 9pm-midnight.

Vasilis Kyritsis (The Clumsies, Athens) at The Other Roof (Singapore)
Vasilis, owner of one of the World’s 50 Best Bars and the best bar in Greece, will head to Singapore’s The Other Roof to serve drinks using Metaxa, a Greek spirit made with aged distillates and aromatic Muscat wines from the Aegean Islands.
When: September 14. Masterclass 2-4pm, guest shift 6-11pm
Deven Rajput (Whisky & Words, Hong Kong) at Kakure (Hong Kong)
Kakure’s first shift of the “Kanpai Series” sees Whisky & Words’ Deven Rajput shaking up three of his bar’s signature cocktails plus a new cocktail featuring sherry cask whisky with dried figs. By Deven’s side will be Kakure’s bar manager Sharad Chhetri, serving up a special off the menu whisky cocktail.

Yao Lu (Birds of Paradise, Shanghai) at Tippling Club (Singapore)
Tippling Club welcomes Yao Lu, co-owner and head bartender of Shanghai’s The Union Trading Company and newly opened tiki haven Birds of Paradise. Yao will be serving four different tropical cocktails specially designed for the night including a banana Daiquiri with Havana 7 rum, lime, Birds of Paradise coconut cordial and Green Chartreuse and Zach’s Beijing Adventure, a homage to Monkey 47 brand ambassador Zach de Git, featuring Monkey 47 gin, lime, Chinese hawthorn jam, greek yoghurt and a little absinthe.

Maxim Schulte (The American Bar, London) at The Bar at 15 Stamford (Singapore)
Maxim, head bartender of institution The American Bar in The Savoy in London, will head to Singapore to guest bartend as part of Singapore’s F1 weekend.

Navneet Kumar (J.Boroski, Hong Kong) at Together at 12th (Delhi)
Navneet Kumar returns to his hometown of Delhi to takeover Le Meridien Hotel’s Together at 12th to serve cocktails inspired by regional ingredients made using international styles.

Sam Kuan (Barules Cocktail Club, Shanghai) at Quinary (Hong Kong)
One of best Shanghai’s best speakeasies moves into Quinary for one night only as founder Sam Kuan brings a taste of his retro British-style bar, known for exceptional service and drinks that are creative yet accessible.

Morgan Schick, Caitie Connolly and Josh Harris (Trick Dog, San Francisco) at The Bombay Canteen (Mumbai)
San Francisco’s ever-eclectic and critically acclaimed Mission District cocktail bar Trick Dog heads to Mumbai for the first time to create some noise as they take over The Bombay Canteen’s newly renovated bar and also collaborate on The Bombay Canteen’s next cocktail menu.

Adam Burisk (Origin, Singapore) at Moon Bar (Bangkok)
Banyan Tree’s Moon Bar will host a “Sky High Tiki Night with Diplomatico, with Adam Bursik of Shangri-La’s Origin behind the stick, serving up tiki drinks.

Sandeep Hathiramani (Tell Camellia, Hong Kong) at Jigger & Pony (Singapore)
Sandeep, co-founder of newly opened tea driven cocktail bar Tell Camellia will be presenting a menu of teatails and T&Tonics at Jigger & Pony for one night only.
