Hisatsugu Saito (Bar Trench, Tokyo and Ars & Delecto, Shanghai) at Gibson (Singapore)
After opening Bar Trench in Tokyo – which currently ranks at number 16 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars list – Hisatsugu Saito is now the general manager of Shanghai’s newly opened Ars & Delecto. Catch him at Gibson in Singapore for two nights, serving drinks themed around the transition of summer to autumn, with seasonal ingredients such as summery scent of basil to the warm, sweet aroma of almonds in orgeat syrup, reminiscent of fall.
When: August 31 and September 1.

Arnd Henning Heissen (The Curtain Club and Fragrances, The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin) at The Ritz Bar and Lounge (Shanghai)
The Movers & Shakers series continues with a friend from Germany – Arnd Henning Heissen, bar manager at The Curtain Club and Fragrances at The Ritz-Carlton Berlin. He uses aromas and perfumes as inspiration for his drinks, each telling a story and evoking memories for a full-on sensory experience. Get your eyes, nose and taste buds ready – this will be an exceptional journey for the senses.
When: September 4-8, 7pm-late.

Julio Bermejo (Tommy’s, San Francisco) at Backstage (Bangkok)
Industry icon and creator of the Tommy’s Margarita, Julio Bermejo will be bringing a slice of his family-owned bar Tommy’s in San Francisco to Bangkok. Agave shrine Tommy’s has been featured on the World’s 50 Best Bars list five times and has been in operation for 53 years, with its Tommy’s Margarita – which switches triple sec for agave syrup – earning modern classic cocktail status.

Joe Schofield (formerly of Tippling Club, Singapore) at The 1515 West Chophouse & Bar (Shanghai)
Jing An Shangri-La’s Celebrity Bartender Series continues with a world renowned cocktail personality coming in hot. Joe Schofield – this year’s International Bartender of the Year at Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards – will take the reins at 1515 West for a four-night guest shift. Though he’s since left Tippling Club, Schofield blew minds with his highly acclaimed multi sensory menu concepts that included an edible menu of boozy gummy bears, leading the bar to an impressive collection of awards over the past couple of years: number 31 on World’s 50 Best Bars and number 7 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars; Best Restaurant Bar at Tales of the Cocktail 2017, and so on. This guest shift is not to be missed.

M.I.C. (Shanghai) at Oasi (Shenzhen)
Shanghai bar consulting collective Mixing Innovation Craft (M.I.C.) – Yao Lu (Union Trading Company), Carson Xie (formerly of The Nest) and Eddy Yang (Tailor Group) – will be at newly-opened Oasi for a masterclass and bar takeover, the latter at which they’ll each be serving two signature cocktails. This shift should be a lively one; combining top personalities and top drinks. Another don’t miss.
When: September 10, 3-5pm (masterclass, by reservation only); guest shift 9pm-late

Yao Lu (The Union Trading Company, Shanghai) and Lukas Kaufman (28 Hong Kong Street, Singapore) at KOKO (Mumbai)
Yao Lu and Lukas Kaufman will join Dimi Lezinska, KOKO’s  in-house mixologist to preview the Mumbai bar’s new menu. Each of them will reveal two of their signature cocktails based on the theme “Asian Inventions” with Lu’s cocktails South China Iced Tea inspired by the Chinese compass and Miso Caliente, inspired by Origami. Kaufman’s creations are Black Mail inspired by ink and Muzzle Flash inspired by gunpowder. Lezinska will be mixing up The Leaf Game inspired by the first playing cards and Seismograph, inspired by the first tool to measure earthquakes.

Nathan Beasley (Black Pearl, Melbourne) at Tippling Club (Singapore)
With nearly a decade at one of Australia’s most decorated bars, Nathan Beasley will be guesting at Singapore’s equally decorated Tippling Club for one night only.
When: September 12, from 7pm.

Monica Berg (Himkok, Oslo) at Origin (Singapore)
From the capital of Norway, Himkok currently ranks at 20th on the World’s 50 Best Bars list, and head bartender Monica Berg is also a co-founder of the (P)our collective, created with industry legends Alex Kratena, Simone Caporale, Ryan Chetiyawardana and Jim Meehan. For one night, sample her Glenfiddich Experimental series cocktails.
When: September 12, 8-11pm.

Terry Kim (Alice, Seoul) at The Ritz Carlton Bar & Lounge (Macau)
Terry Kim of Alice in Wonderland inspired Alice – currently 26th on Asia’s 50 Best Bars – will head over to Macau to mix up some of his Alice signatures for one night only.
When: September 13, 9pm-midnight.

Suwincha ‘Chacha’, Weerachon and Nuerduang (Rabbit Hole, Bangkok) at Rabbit Hole (Ho Chi Minh City)
Though the bars are not related, they share the same name so as a part of of Rabbit Hole HCMC’s “Asia 50 Popup Series” the two Rabbit Holes decided to collaborate delivering a masterclass entitled “Exploring Your Palate” (2-4pm) followed by a guest shift where Rabbit Hole Bangkok will serve up their quirky concoctions.

Suraj Gurung and Ajit Gurung (Stockton, Hong Kong) at Neon Pigeon (Singapore)
The boys from Stockton in Hong Kong – currently ranking at 11 on Asia’s 50 Best – will be taking over Neon Pigeon, serving cocktails from their “Minds Undone” menu that pays tribute to some of the world’s best literary figures.
When: September 17, 9pm-midnight.

Jamie Rhind (Bamboo Bar, Bangkok) at M Bar (Hong Kong)
From one Mandarin Oriental to another, Bangkok stalwart Bamboo Bar – currently 9th on Asia’s 50 Best Bars – will be popping up at M Bar in Hong Kong with bar operations manager Jamie Rhind jumping behind the stick for three nights. Rhind will be serving his “Compass” cocktail menu, which draws inspiration from Thailand’s five regions.
When: September 17-19, 6-11pm.

Jamie Rhind (Bamboo Bar, Bangkok), Davide Sambo (Havana Social, Bangkok) and
Mitchell Kai Lum (Bacardi brand ambassador, South East Asia) at Skinny’s Lounge (Singapore)
As part of the #OchoMadeMeDoIt tour, Bamboo Bar’s beverage manager Jamie Rhind, Havana Social’s beverage manager Davide Sambo and Mitchell Kai Lum – Bacardi brand ambassador for South East Asia – will be pouring unlimited Bacardi Ocho shots and cocktails for SGD$60 per person.

Lorenzo Antinori and Yeonghwi Yun (Charles H, Seoul) at Junior (Singapore)
Charismatic duo Lorenzo Antinori and Yeonghwi Yun will be swapping their Seoul home of Charles H for two nights at the small but mighty Junior in Singapore. The pair will be serving drinks inspired by the travels of the eponymous Charles H Baker.
When: September 23 and 24.

Divyesh Chauhan (JungleBird, Kuala Lumpur) at Bob’s Bar (Singapore)
Divyesh Chauhan of Malaysian rum shrine JungleBird will be shaking up Diplomatico cocktails as part of Bob’s Bar’s quarterly Tropical Sundowner event, with a pop up outdoor bar on the bar’s terrace.
When: September 22 and 23.

Giancarlo Mancino (Mancino Vermouth) at Nautilus Bar (Jakarta)
Mister Mancino Vermouth himself with be serving up aperitivo concoctions at Nautilus Bar in the Four Seasons Jakarta for one night only.
