This recipe was first published as part of our feature on the Rosy Dawn.

“This modern version of the Rosy Dawn is lighter and the effervescence of the soda water makes it more approachable. I don’t think it would’ve been appreciated back in the day of the original Rosy Dawn, however, as palates have changed, but I’ve tried to keep the original DNA of the drink intact.”

40ml London dry gin
20ml Lime juice
20ml Simple syrup
10ml Curaçao
10ml Cherry brandy
Dash of soda

Shake and double strain into a highball glass, top with soda and float 10ml of cherry brandy on top.
