The World’s 50 Best Bars will hold a live ceremony in London’s Roundhouse on December 7. By Holly Graham.
After virtual ceremonies for both the 2020 and 2021 editions of Asia’s 50 Best Bars and The World’s 50 Best Bars 2020, the awards return with a physical event to take place December 7.
This year, The World’s 50 Best Bars Academy’s will be asked to vote on bar experiences between March 2020 to September 2021, with changes to the voting requirements due to ongoing travel restrictions.
The Academy is made up of over 540 anonymous industry experts of a 50/50 gender balance, overseen by 23 Academy Chairs across 23 geographic regions, and the voting process and results are independently adjudicated by Deloitte to ensure authenticity.
The announcement on December 7 will be preceded by three special awards as below:
-Michter’s Art of Hospitality Award: November 18
-Altos Bartenders’ Bartender: November 25
-51-100 list: December
2021 will see a new award added: the Siete Misterios Best Cocktail Menu, open to all bars across the globe. Bars must submit their current menu and supporting materials and details on how to enter will be announced soon.
