Old Fashioned Week starts today and runs until November 10, so make sure you visit your favourite bars and check out their unique twists on the father of cocktails and help the bars raise money for their chosen charities. More than 150 bars from the Asia region have registered, with 75 in Hong Kong, 40 in Singapore, 6 in Taiwan, 11 in Malaysia, 10 in Thailand, five in Indonesia, and two in Japan, the Philippines and Vietnam. Imbibers and creators alike are encouraged to celebrate and share your Old Fashioneds on social media using the hashtag #OFW18.
Top bars including Employees Only (Hong Kong), 28 HongKong Street (Singapore), Junglebird (Kuala Lumpur) and Smalls (Bangkok) are serving up their Old Fashioneds using this year’s partnering brands Angostura, Havana Club rum, Rhum JM from Martinique, Monkey Shoulder blended Scotch malt whisky, Cognac Pierre Ferrand, Toschi Amarena red cocktail cherries and Woodford Reserve bourbon.
