The World’s 50 Best Bars heads to Asia for the first time. By Holly Graham.
The World’s 50 Best Bars 2023 will be revealed in Singapore’s Pasir Panjang power station on Tuesday October 17, 2023. Singapore has hosted Asia’s 50 Best Bars before, but it’s the first time the world ranking will be unveiled in Asia, and the first time in its 15 years that the ceremony has left Europe.
As usual, the list of The World’s 50 Best Bars 2023 will be anonymously voted for by a gender balanced Academy of more than 650 bartenders, consultants, writers and cocktail specialists from around the world, with the results independently adjudicated by Deloitte.
Events will include the Bartenders’ Feast on October 16, followed by the awards ceremony on October 17. New for 2023 will be a series of five 50 Best Signature Sessions. These live events – which will also be open to the public – will take place in Singapore’s top bars, where guests can sample cocktails from some of the world’s best.
Ahead of the awards ceremony, 50 Best will reveal the winners of the Michter’s Art of Hospitality award and the Altos Bartenders’ Bartender. The 51-100 list will also be revealed on social media ahead of the top 50 list.
