Recipe: Corpse Reviver #1

This recipe was first published as part of our cocktail history feature on the Corpse Reviver.

30ml Brandy
15ml Calvados
15ml Italian vermouth
1ds Bitters (optional)

Stir over ice and strain into a cocktail glass. A dash of bitters improves things, as can a lemon twist. Basically this is a Manhattan with a couple of twists.
