90ml Export-strength gin
30ml Vodka (preferably grain)
15ml Cocchi Americano (modern substitute for Kina Lillet)

Shake over ice, strain into a chilled coupe, garnish with a generous lemon twist. Technically you should stir this (it contains no citrus, eggs or cream), but I suggest getting into the spirit of things by shaking. You can rationalise this with the thought that shaking yields more dilution, which, like the vodka, contributes to a lighter drink.
