Not getting enough travel with your bartending gig? Don’t fancy schlepping through endless competitions to become a brand rep? Well shake no more as London gin bar Mr Fogg’s has teamed up with Bombay Sapphire to find a global gin ambassador.
An homage to Jules Vernes’ intrepid fictional traveler Phileas Fogg – the guy who traveled around the world in 80 days – this job will see the successful applicant doing much the same with a friend in tow.
Decked out with custom adventure swag including an atlas, journal, luggage tags and a hip flask by Aspinal of London, you will record your antics on social media and a travel blog. Along the way, you’ll have to source botanicals and ginspiration to create your own “Around the World Cocktail”. Like Fogg, you’ll have 80 days to complete your adventure.
The fruits (and botanicals) of your labour will be premiered at new bar Fogg’s Society of Exploration, opening right where Fogg first took off – Charing Cross. As a reward for your efforts, you’ll get an Around the World Cocktail on the house whenever you visit the bar.
There’s no real catch. You just need to have a valid passport, be fluent in social media and obviously be a travel loving gin drinker. To apply for the job, click here.
