Cross Yu has got your music covered all night long. By Jonathan White.

The new issue is about to drop in China, and that means one thing: a brand new DRiNK Playlist to educate and entertain in equal measure. We asked on our WeChat account whose music program you wanted to hear more about and we listened to the answer. Picking the pops by popular demand is Cross Yu of E.P.I.C. in Shanghai.

As it happens, it’s perfect timing. The latest addition to our series has also been nominated in the Top 4 for Bar of the Year (among others) at the DRiNK Magazine Bar Awards 2017. They are not the only bar in the series to be in the running for a silver shaker, with E.P.I.C. joined by our first-ever Playlister, Janes & Hooch, in the final fours. You can check out Warren Pang’s Playlist here – and the tracks picked out by Beckaly Franks of Pontiac for Playlist No2 here.

Cross hits the faders to give us not one Playlist but four different track listings to encapsulate the aural pleasure that greets guests at E.P.I.C. during different times of the evening – Early Bird, Boogie Time, Weekend Beach House and See You Tomorrow – and they are all jam-packed with jams.

You can read all about the inspiration behind his musical choices when you get your hands on Issue 49 of DRiNK Magazine but in the meantime crank up the volume and listen along below.
