Asia-based bars, people, and a certain publication named in this year’s list. By Natasha Hong.

Tales of the Cocktail has announced its Top 10 nominees for this year’s Spirited Awards list, and Asia, once again, is well represented. Picked out from over 1,000 nominations after an open call for entries in April, the hopefuls were then turned over to an international group of judges to whittle down.

Tippling Club in Singapore was Asia’s big cheese, picking up three nominations in the Top 10s: the bar and restaurant was named in the World’s Best Cocktail Menu and Best International Restaurant Bar lists, and head barman Joe Schofield also made it into the International Bartender of the Year longlist.

The gin-formidable Atlas in Singapore follows close with two nominations in the Best New International Cocktail Bar and World’s Best Spirits Selection categories. Other new regional additions to this year’s list include Shingo Gokan‘s debut on the International Bartender of the Year bill and Zdenek Kastanek’s promotion to the Best Bar Mentor ranks.

Elsewhere, DRiNK Magazine also makes a return to this year’s Best Cocktail & Spirits Publication list, after our debut in the Top 10 in 2014 – thank you for all your support so far!
